| I
would be more than happy to provide you with CD(s). However,
you need to read and follow the rules below. 1. If a trade is involved and you initiate the trade, I will send out your CD(s) once I receive mine. We can send out CDs at the same time in future trades (if applicable). |
2. I prefer smooth transitions, and usually edit the tracks so the actual song stands alone. This way you can skip to the track of interest without having to weed through any banter. If you send me a live recording, please use the disc-at-once (DOA) function that elimminates the 2-second delay between tracks.
3. I use 'Audio Only' CD-Rs (usually Sony, TDK or Verbatim). Please do not use cheap discs!!! If you have questions regarding th disc type, ask. If you've a preference of CD you would like me to burn on, let me know. Otherwise, I expect you to use/send high quality CDs.
4. Please do not write on the discs themsleves. I am anal and have my own organizing system. Just jot down the info on a post-it note and place the not on the disc/sleeve.
5. Please provide a setlist for each CD. If the CD artwork is available, email it to me (this saves you from printing it).
6. Please make sure that the discs you send are well protected! Sending CDs via mail runs the risk of having the CD(s) being scratched during handling, so make sure the CDs are safe. In the case of defective CD(s), I expect them to be replaced. I will do the same if the CD(s) I send out are defective. [From experience, it's best not to lump the discs together as friction increases the likelihood of scratches. Use plain cd sleeves for each cd instead.]
7. I do accept international trades. However, I prefer the trades be mailed via airmail (5-10 day delivery). With people overseas, it generally sucks having to wait months for CDs and I'll try to expedite the shipment if possible. If this is not possible on your end, email me to work something out.
8. If a trade is not involved, send burn and postage (B&P). This means mailing me the appropriate number of blank recordable CD(s) along with prepaid postage (aka self-addressed stamped envelope) so I can mail the completed CD(s) back to you. Please refer to #3-6 as well.
9. I expect communication both during and after trades, to confirm shipment and receipt of CD(s).
10. I'm anal. I'm quality conscious, especially of the recordings I went throught the trouble of taping and processing. If you intend to make MP3s from the CD(s) I send you, get permission before doing so. In my book, MP3s = conversion = 2nd generation = loss in quality!
11. Finally: For the recordings I have done, I generally attempt to ask the artsts if it is okay to for me to record their performances. I DO NOT SELL BOOTLEGS AND ASK THAT YOU DO NOT SELL BOOTLEGS AS WELL. Please remember that listening and sharing the artists' work is only one form of support! Out of respect of the artists' hard work and efforts, continue your support by BUYING their CDs (even better: go see them perform live!) If I find that one of my recordings is being sold, I will gather my minions and hunt you down, not to mention getting the artist, the artists' record label and other legal parties after you and yours. Do not cross me.
